Slimfast for radio out bag

I was in a church custodian office, years ago. Noticed a bunch of Boost,
or Slimfast. I think it was slimfast. Back in the days when they used
metal cans, with snap open like soda pop. I asked the custodian (who was
about 5 foot 6, and maybe 150 pounds, if that) if he was on a diet. No,
he says they are good for when he gets hungry between meals. Pop one
open, drink it down,and he's good till the next meal.
I could see the advantage of that. No refrigeration, and lots of
convenience. Since that time, I've tried to remember to carry Boost or equivilant in my emergency go bgs. Like the military chocolae, it's not
great to eat, but it does keep me going. Milk and sugar, which isn't
healthy. But once a week or so won't kill me.
