The Atlanta Radio Club is hosting an afternoon in the park
as a sort of unofficial start of summer. Looks like it is
going to be a very good weekend to play radio in a park!

    Date and Time:
    May 29th 2022 - Sunday
We will start gathering around noon.
Need to be out of the park by 9pm.
Most people will be ready to go sooner, and that's OK.

    Location:
    Lucky Shoals Park
4651 Britt Road Just off Jimmy Carter Road
    Norcross, GA

Just off Jimmy Carter Road or Chamblee-Tucker road
depending on which way you are coming.

Come into the park and keep going straight on in.
When you have to turn around and start back, that is
    where we will be.

    Reason: Play radio.

As always the focus is on having fun not doing a contest.
You do not need to be an Atlanta Radio Club member to come out
and have fun... everybody is welcome.

If you want to bring a radio bring and we'll get it on the air.

Got an antenna you want to try, bring it and we'll get it on the
air. (Let's try not to bring out multi-element beams, please...
we did one of those a few years go, lot's of work for a short
    time in the park).

Just want to come and hang out? come and hang out.

There will be soft drinks and snacks all day. Pizza order
will be starting about 5pm with an eye towards pizza on-site
    around 6pm or so.

You might want to bring a chair as most seating will be picnic
    table style benches.

I did HF for work but it required me to maintain my ham license. I got
into it and grew to appreciate it after 9/11/2001 it helped me out.
