  • Renewing License ORDEAL

    Hi,

    I am not a member of ARRL.

    My Wife's license is going to expire soon.

    When I tried to renew her license at the FFC web site,
    I need to have a password such as a FRN password!!

    Unlike most "normal" web sites where you need to
    create an account in order to use their service, very
    simple to do, this does NOT apply to the FFC site for
    Amateur License Renewals.

    Trying to set up a FRN password was a real CHALLANGE!!!

    Out of FRUSTRATION, I decided to use W5YI-VEC service
    for $10. Then I will have to pay $35 to the FCC for the new
    license.
