Downloaded the installer and they tried to get me to set up "cloud"
(corporate server) storage:

now.

I loath the term "cloud" as it applies to computing. To me, it's just ephemistic social engineering that attempts to justify the concept of
turning storing one's data on corporate servers. If they can get the
public to buy into this idiocy, then it will be one step closer to
forcing everybody into using dumb terminals.

I'd like to add though, that it's easy not to set up Audacity to use
their "cloud". There's even a setting that tells the program to always
save files locally.
