"Internet Download Accelerator is a HTTP/FTP download manager that uses multi-section downloads to provide the best possible performance for all connection types. It allows you to create your won categories and automatically sort your downloads based on the file extensions.
The program supports download resuming, scheduled downloads, search for file mirrors, as well as automated virus scanning (using your existing AV software). Internet Download Accelerator also integrates a service that will report user downloads to an online database, allowing you to see what other files are popular among IDA users (this feature can be turned off).
Other features include browser integration, floating drop target and support for video downloads from popular video sharing services like YouTube, Google Video, Metacafe and others.
A Pro version is available with additional features, which are disabled in the free version."

"Internet Download Accelerator Portable
The portable version of IDA has a number of limitations: no browser integration, the export and import of the settings are disabled. In most cases it would be more convenient to use the standard IDA installation."
