  • IC-725 Blank Display

    I acquired an IC-725 recently. Everything appears to work on the
    radio except the display, which is mostly blank.

    I did a full cpu reset, but instead of displaying 14.1000, everything
    but MEMO to the right of the frequency numbers goes out and the
    remaining doesn't change. It displays all the options plus all 8's.

    I looked through the service manual and user manual for
    troubleshooting tips, but I didn't find anything that mentions the
    blank display.

    Any suggestions?
