Are there any busy Ham forums? I've found a half dozen newsgroups, but they seem to get a dozen or so messages a month at best.

I'll get you started by directing you to: www.eham.com

Do a Google or Yahoo search for "ham forums" or "amateur radio forums".
Both should supply you with a few candidates.

I would agree with that, but there aren't a lot of other places.

Thanks, guys - wow, that is a lot of answers considering this newsgroup doesn't get much traffic - maybe I'll just hang out here :-)

That's the email address for posting to the group (you have to be a member
of the group before posting is allowed). The URL is: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/HamRadioHelpGroup/. More Yahoo! ham radio
groups can be found here: http://dir.groups.yahoo.com/dir/Hobbies___Crafts/Hobbies/Amateur_and_Ham_Radio. There are 5347 groups (including CB & SWL interests).

There are also email reflectors on http://lists.contesting.com/ that may be
    of interest.

Yeah, I registered on their site a couple of days ago and I'm still
    waiting for approval!
