Hi!
I'm just starting to learn morse code (newbie mode on :P), and thought
it'd be a good idea to install unixcw on my linuxbox and listen to
some random texts to learn.
However, that project hasn't gone that well: First, it seems like
without a "-g 1" or somesuch, all long beeps just beed together into
one infinite one. Secondly, and far worse, the codes all seem garbled
up:
echo -n S | cw -g 1 -t 200
beeps out daw-di, that is, an N
echo -n O | cw -g 1 -t 200
beeps out di-di-di-di-di, that is a 5...
Any ideas what's wrong?
