• PK-232MBX EPROM/Firmware Upgrade?

I have an PK-232M TNC with Firmware Ver. 01.Aug 91. I was wondering if I could install firmware from a PK-232DSP? A friend of mine upgraded his firmware in his PK-232DSP and gave me his old ones to try. Will this damage the TNC? If this doesn't work what is the latest version firmware I can install without having to upgrade to a DSP unit? Thanks.

The latest EPROMS for a PK-232 without DSP are ver 7.2, available at http://www.timewave.com/a_upgrades.html

These EPROMS support the MBX option if you have it.

Sorry, I don't have dates to go with Rev levels, but I think your TNC
should display the rev level along with the date and if it doesn't,
then you should be able to read it off the labels on the EPROMS
    themselves.
