• Self contained packet radios

    Can anyone provide the names of manufacturers of self contained packet
    radios were the radio has a TNC built in. I'm also interested in the
    tiny portable TNCs that are used for APRS with portable radios. A
    portable with a built in TNC that could receive GPS information by blue
    tooth would be a real boon.

    Akinco makes a line of their mobles that have tnc or can have a tnc
    instaled I a Kenwood mobile has this as well

    as does the rather expense for this app kenwood TS2000's

    These combo units are great for APRS but lack the features needed to
    fully support traditional packet radio techniques
