• 2m packet with Airmail

I am trying to use Airmail to operate my packet station. I can run
packet normally via hyper terminal in windows or even via the dumb
terminal built into Airmail, but not via the VHF Packet client in
Airmail. When I launch the VHF packet client in airmail it tells me the
modem initialized ok, but when I try to connect to another station it
tells me it's making the call in the Airmail packet client window but it
never keys up the radio. I am using a Yaesu FT-2800 and have tried both
a Kantronics KPC-2 and a AEA PK-232mbx TNC with the exact same results.
I have went into the settings for the VHF packet client and picked my
TNC from the list (pk-232 and KPC-3 selections respectively). I a little stumped since the radio and both TNC's work fine together outside of the Airmail VHF packet client. Any ideas or suggestions would be
    appreciated.

Let me suggest that you go to <http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LOADING_WL2K_USER_PROGRAMS/> You will
have to sign up with Yahoo but that's free and I haven't suffered any
ill effects after more than two years. They have tutorials on running
airmail by using the AGW packet engine as the host. The AGWPE soes a
good job of keeping the various TNCs working.
