Hamshack Hack is a 're-master' of the KNOPPIX Linux distribution made especially for Amateur Radio Operators (Hams) who have no prior
experience with Linux. It provides a complete Operating System (OS),
software for the hobby, web, and word tasks. All contained in an .iso
file ready to burn to CD.

FREE downloads and instructions are available at:

    http://hamshack-hack.sourceforge.net/

Download the .iso image file and burn it to a CD and it becomes a
    'Live CD' system.

Put the CD in the drive and re-boot your machine and you'll boot up
with a fully functional Linux system. Your usual operating system will
remain on your hard drive and all its files will be accessable but
untouched until you say so, Linux will be running the show. When you
quit and reboot, the Linux system will 'vaporize' and you'll be back
with your regular system from your hard drive.

The CD contains a wide and varied selection of Ham software ...
everything from PSK, RTTY, Packet, MFSK, and SSTV, to programs for weak
signal, aurora, and moon bounce. There are programs for the
International Beacon Project and APRS. XLog and the XDx dx-cluster
terminal. Even a Smith Chart computer and EchoLink.

In addition to the Ham software, there are web browsers, several text
editors, AbiWord for word processing, the GNUmeric spreadsheet, and
gLables for making QSL card or mailing lables.

If you've been wondering about all the Linux 'chatter' lately, here's a
chance to find out whats happening with that 'other OS'. And, no need
to install it ... just re-boot your machine.

LINUX! Not just for Guru's anymore!
