    For my location (Quad Cities > eastern Iowa/northcentral Illinois) this morning's (Saturday) forecast is for continued cold temperatures with
    highs in the teens and lows around zero, with wind chills Sunday and
    Monday getting as low as -20 and -30. Monday is supposed to be the
    worst; Tuesday starting to warm up.

    As for Monday based on the forecast I'm surprised they haven't cancelled schools. ...Just checked the closures listed by a local TV station:
    yup, nothing. No schools, no churches...,

    Ouch! We've had some cold lately but nothing like that.

    This weekend they're predicting wind chills down to -40ø! Hopefully
    that's the northern portion of the (television station's) viewing area
    which would be up in the Dubuque area but as that's only 70 miles still probably get darn cold here.

    Here they are calling for the actual temperature to be -7F at least one
    morning next week. If it snows as much as they say it will here, it won't
    be going anywhere for a while.
