James Cameron is planning to revive the Terminator franchise
with a cast of fresh faces.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about the future of the
sci-fi series, the director, 71, revealed that leading man
Arnold Schwarzenegger will not be back for another sequel.

'I can safely say he won't be,' Cameron confessed to the
outlet.

'It's time for a new generation of characters. I insisted
Arnold had to be involved in Terminator: Dark Fate, and it
was a great finish to him playing the T-800,' he continued.

Arnie ain't so young anymore. Maybe they can fit
him in for a few seconds in a 'video clip' or
something. In any case, he finishes as an iconic
figure.

SOME film themes seem inexhaustible. They can make
Terminator films forever, same for Aliens, Living
Dead and Predator (another Arnie start-up) and vampire
flix. When humans stop doing them the AIs will invent
something. The "near-indestructible opponent" figures
high in the human psyche/mythos. Try Beowulf - 1500
years and still relevant.

"Man -vs- Devils" and "Man -vs- Gods" and "Man -vs-
Monsters" ...... forever popular. Shines a light on
the inside of our heads.

Hey, we all used to live on the veldt with all sorts
of nasty creatures out to eat us .... that'll set a
few neural pathways in stone eh ?

Schwarzenegger is still really fit.

He's pretty good. Not on the steroids anymore, but
clearly still does the work-outs. Really sharp mind
behind that thick accent too.

Not like my neighbor who is as old as he is

She is a lot shorter, but still pretty tall.

Right now she alleges she is 160

Hmm ... maybe she is. I always wondered if there
were a small number with like double-long lives.
The curve trails off ... but it's not QUITE zero
even well out.

I find it improbable tho i have watched her lose weight over the past four years, I cannot believe she is down to that. I think she is lying
