This is moving along quickly. Looks like

Not just “perhaps”. This absolutely WILL be next.
Well, they only need is to create enough "uncertainty"
so that no skippers or buyers will dare take the risk.
My concern is that, and they DO have some good reasons,
the Chinese will get involved to some degree. IF they
have properly flagged ships to 'escort' some of those
tankers out of the area then what DO we do ? Any mil
op near the ships means a risk of mistake, casualties.
China might WANT this as a provocation and downrange
deterrent.
Now ... WHAT do do with that tanker that refuses to
stop ? Try an outright air assault like with the
others ? Maduro or the cartels MAY have put some
rough characters on board. A few little shoulder-
fired missiles and Trump will be attending a lot
MORE repatriation ceremonies. In short, this could
be a deliberate PR trap.
Send a low-yield torpedo into the ships propellers ?
COULD work. COULD sink or burn the thing too. Gigantic
oil slick regardless, also bad PR.
This
represents a LOT of money, a WHOLE LOT.
It's money that will NOT be going to Maduro.
SHOULD we pressure out Maduro ? Opinions vary.
He IS a shit ... but then lots of govt leaders
are shits and we kiss SOME of their asses.
Maduro is a rare case where the "international
community" agrees he's illegit - KNOWS he stole
the presidency Big Time.
But hey, if nobody ever DOES anything about such
situations, what does "legit" MEAN anyway ? Put
up or SHUT UP.
