    . . .

    Well, GOOD.

Got to hold them SOMEWHERE before dumping them
    back down south.

What Joe did must be UN-done.

Immigrants - we want/need the BEST AND BRIGHTEST.
The average Jose may or may not be a 'good guy'
but he's NOT what we really need right now. The
USA needs to brain-drain the world.

What is it they need tho

I found a wallet the other day, belonged to a guy from a Central American country.

I just went to the apartment, which I was able to find because his identity cards contained the information.

I recognized him right away from his picture ID

For a guy from central America who doesn’t speak a word of English, he sure had no problem giving me some personal info without even knowing who I was,
or before I even explained why I was there. I mean, I could’ve been ICE.

It took me a few sentences to realize “he doesn’t understand a word I’m saying” so then we communicated by google translate on his phone, and
except for not knowing how much money was in the wallet, he got all the
other answers correct. He said there was $450 in the wallet, it was really $800. DAMN IT I COULD’VE KEPT SOME AND HE’D NEVER KNOW!

I didn’t want a “reward” but he insisted, so my karma was a $20 payday. Not bad. I eventually took it when he just would not stop forcing it on me.

Why wouldn’t you want a thankful nice guy immigrant who can use modern tech devices

He could "use modern tech devices" ? Which ones - and
did he ever BOTHER or was that money "free money" from
    some Joe program ?

For now the USA needs to be a bit more selective - bring
in the especially bright/learned. Just assume there's
going to be a high-tech war with China soon. 'Nice guys'
are great but that can't be the ONLY criteria, at least
    for now.

Oh, and how can you TELL "nice" from "naughty" ? The coyotes
(and some US lefties) COACH them on what to say, how to act.

A cell phone is more modern tech than the Ultron 5000

It’s no longer as funny in 2021 (and it’s woody Allen which makes it even worse now) but was at one time my favorite movie line.
Woody Allen in Sleeper, which was made in the 1970s, before computers
    existed in the general public.
It’s set 200 years in the future.
He’s on a job interview and the boss asks him if he has any experience with the *Ultron5000, and he gestures to the wall where there is a massive
computer as big as 3 trucks, with spinning reels, blinking lights, clicking noises….
Woody Allen replies “yes, I do have experience with it”
Boss asks “where did you get the previous experience”
Allen replies “My…. aunt has one”

(*I made up the name ultron 5000 because I can’t remember what it was
    really called in the movie)

    Which ones - and
did he ever BOTHER or was that money "free money" from
    some Joe program ?

I didn’t ask, i didn’t think to type it into the Ultron 6000 translator app on his Ultron 6000 phone. But based on his address, free Joe money
wouldn’t secure him that place. Maybe he has a wealthy wife.

I should have given him a longer interview so as to adequately answer your
very fair questions. I recognized him from his picture id, so I didn’t even ask him for personally identifiable information
