Once upon a time, to beg for money you had to go to the airport (which
was stopped quite a number of years ago) or hang out on your favorite
street corner or off-ramp.
Now, with the wonders of the internet, you can be a panhandler without
even leaving the comfort of your home! Whether this individual is
actually in need, or like some of the off-ramp panhandlers, makes more a
year than I do by working 40-Plus hour a week, is something we cannot determine.
It matters not what the method is, sending a message of this type is panhandling, just as it would be if the individual were standing on the
street corner.
Perhaps selling the PC to get a few bucks would help? Then we wouldn't
see inappropriate posts in newsgroups that have absolutely nothing to do
with the subject....
If this were a Ham, and he had the guts to identify himself, I might be
a bit more concerned. On the other hand, given the spam I currently
recieve, this just looks like spam directed to newsgroups to me....
