Hold the front page: the Apple AirPods Pro 3 have received a hefty
last-minute discount at Amazon AU and, if you live in a metro area and have a Prime membership, you can get them delivered in time for Christmas day but you will need to hurry as that delivery window will close tonight (Tuesday, December 23).

The latest generation of Apples ubiquitous earbuds launched in September to much fanfare, with promises of a more secure fit thanks to a redesigned body, much-improved ANC and better sound quality.

Ive been using the Pro 3s for the past few months and, having previously used the AirPods Pro 2, Apple sure has hit the ball outta the park with the latest set. They're simply fantastic I cant recommend them enough for iPhone owners who want an awesome-sounding pair of buds that also provide a seamless connection and a raft of nifty extra features.

The Pro 3s arrived Down Under with an increased launch price over their predecessor, which was a bitter pill to swallow. I admit that at full price, theyre tricky to outright recommend, but this AU$50 discount nips that one in the bud. View Deal

As youll find out from reading our Apple AirPods Pro 3 review , my colleague and audio guru, Becky Scarrott, said iPhone owners who value great, shut-out-the-world noise cancellation need look no further than this set of earbuds. Thats high praise indeed! And, on the subject of ANC, she adds it's almost scarily good at sucking the noise out of your ears.

I can certainly attest to that statement. Whether Im walking down a busy
road, commuting on a packed train, or even using them at home while my
partner has Saving Private Ryan blaring out the surround-sound system, I cant hear a darn thing they really are some of the best wireless earbuds money
can buy.

The AirPods Pro have always excelled where sound quality is concerned, and Apple has gone to great lengths to ensure this third-generation is the best-sounding yet. The tech giant even has its own anechoic chamber where it tunes its headphones, to ensure sound quality is as good as can be. Our
review says, you can expect an expansive, exuberant soundstage that allows bass registers ample space to rumble with regimented clout again, I have to agree. Bass performance is a definite step up over their predecessor, and
even with Spatial Audio switched off, I still feel the Pro 3s deliver a 3D-like sound field, with every element of a track given its place to shine.

I also love the redesigned fit. I never thought the Pro 2s were badly designed, and they do indeed remain snug in the ears. But when you compare them side-by-side with the newer model, its a night and day difference the Pro 3s sit so nicely in the ear canal, and given they come supplied with a variety of ear tip sizes, I cant see anybody having an issue finding the most secure fit for them.

Ive seen them discounted in Australia before, but via Kogan as international import and from Amazon Japan, both dropping the price to around the AU$385 mark. This, however, is shipped and sold directly from Amazon AU and is local stock. So if youve been holding out for a good price, nows your chance to pounce.
