The MIdwest Division is one of the kick-off Divisions for the ARRL's
America 250 Worked All States Event. In fact, the Nebraska Section
under Section Manager Matt Anderson, KB0BOJ, along with New York, is a
kick-off section. W1AW/0 will be operating from Nebraska from January
7 to January 13, 2026. As announced in the January 2026 issue of QST,
you can earn the award by working one of the W1AW/portable stations or
ARRL affiliated clubs in all 50 states and in several US Possessions/Territories. Contacts on all bands are permitted. There is
also a WAS Triple Play earned by contacting all 50 states on three modes
(CW, phone, digital). This is a year-long event.
